Kar-Tel ("Kar-Tel", "we", "us") is a San Diego business offering phone and laptop repair, web design and IT services, and an AI phone receptionist. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit kar-tel.app, call us, or text us, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, phone number and email address.
- Phone calls. Calls to our business line may be answered by our AI assistant and are recorded. We tell you this at the start of the call. We keep the caller's number, the time and length of the call, and the messages or appointment details you leave.
- Text messages you send us and that we send you.
- Service details, such as the device you need repaired or the appointment you booked.
- Website usage data collected by analytics cookies (pages visited, browser type, approximate location).
How we use it
- To answer your questions, give quotes, and book, confirm or change appointments.
- To follow up on a call we missed, by text message.
- To provide and improve our services and keep records required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Text messaging (SMS)
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every sharing category in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties.
You get texts from us only when you call or text our business line, or when you ask us to text you. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. See our Terms for details.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, such as our phone and text carrier, our AI voice provider, our database host and our calendar provider. They may use it only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep call recordings, transcripts and messages only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete them on a set schedule. Contact and appointment records are kept as long as you are a customer or as required by law.
Your choices and California rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Email admin@kar-tel.app and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Security
We protect your information with access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
